Simple, fast and easy snacks. Ideal for traveling.

Sometimes it’s nice to have a dessert after eating one of the snacks listed below, especially if the snack contains hot spices. Here’s a delicious, fully satisfying dessert which is fast, simple, and doesn’t result in any dirty dishes: Take your strawberry jam jar out of your refrigerator, dip out as much jam as you can get with two freshly washed fingers, and eat it all at once! Done!

Snack #1: Dump a can of vegetarian refried beans into a shallow bowl and use it as a dip for ½ of a 9½ ounce bag of Cheetos™ Crunchy. (You may be tempted to use a can of “fat free” refried beans, but it cannot be dumped out of the can. It must be spooned out, which is time consuming and messy.)¹

Snack #2: Mix together approximately equal amounts by volume of dry roasted macadamia nuts and peanut butter chips.²

Snack #3: Drink a glass of tomato juice spiced with ½ teaspoon of Howie’s Best Curry Powder (Stir well and stir periodically while drinking.) while eating a bowl of ½ cup of dry roasted lightly salted peanuts mixed with 1 cup of Rice Chex™.¹

Snack #4: Use an 8 ounce can of pressurized cheese as a topping for ¼ of a 15.1 ounce box of crackers. (The can of pressurized cheese, “Walmart™ Great Value™ Cheese Wow! American,” for example, does not need to be refrigerated, even after using only a portion of it. A good choice for crackers is “Walmart™ Great Value™ Baked Buttery Naturally Flavored.”)²

Snack #5: Use ½ of a 21 ounce can of cherry pie filling as a topping for ½ of an 8 ounce block of cream cheese.

Snack #6: Mix together approximately equal amounts by volume of raw cashews and carob coated raisins.²

Snack #7: Put 4 ounces (⅛ of a 2 pound block) of American style cheese into a 1 cup bowl and serve with a tall glass of hot apple juice spiced with 1 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice.

Snack #8: Mix approximately equal amounts by volume of raw cashews and golden raisins and serve it with melted butter, salt, and black pepper as condiments.

Snack #9: 8 ounces of pomegranate juice together with a banana that’s a little on the green side. (The best tasting pomegranate juice, purported to be good for a man’s prostate gland, is the type that needs to be refrigerated even before it’s opened. The reason for the slightly green banana is to help prevent the juice from causing diarrhea.)

Snack #10: Cheese puffs and carob coated peanuts.¹

Snack #11: Mix Walmart™ Great Value™ Tropical Trail Mix with Dannon™ All Natural Plain Yogurt.

Snack #12: Eat a raw avacodo with Dannon™ All Natural Plain Yogurt as a condiment.

Snack #13: Add 6 ounces (by weight) of an East Indian snack such as Swad™ Spicy Punjabi Mix to a one quart microwavable bowl. Add ⅓ of a stick of butter broken into small pieces. Microwave for about a minute until all of the butter is melted. Add a handful of golden raisins (optional). Mix.¹

Snack #14: Mix together approximately (by volume) 3 parts peanut butter, 15 parts Dannon™ All Natural Plain Yogurt, and 1 part sugar. (3 parts jam could be substituted for the 1 part sugar. Could also be used as a dip for cookies such as fig bars or to mix with fresh fruit such as raspberries.)¹

Snack #15: Purchase an 8 ounce (the wider, the better) container of sour cream. Carefully add a small amount of an East Indian snack such as Swad™ Manglori Mix by poring directly from the bag. Mix while eating (with a spoon), adding more and more of the snack as more space becomes available. (No dirty dishes except for the spoon.)¹

Snack #16: Put ½ teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice in a 1 quart bowl. Add approximately ½ of a 21 ounce can of refrigerated apple pie filling. Add approximately ½ of a 16 ounce container of sour cream. Mix thoroughly. (The pumpkin pie spice is optional.)

Snack #17: Almost fill a small microwavable bowl with a sweet East Indian snack such as Swad™ Mini Bhakharvadi. Optionally, add some chunks of butter, preferably unsalted. Drench with maple syrup. Microwave on high for one minute. Microwave on high until the maple syrup comes to a vigorous boil. Mix while eating.

Snack #18: Dry roasted, lightly salted peanuts with maple syrup as a condiment.

¹ Snack numbers 1, 3, 10, 13, 14 (if cookies are included), 15 and 17 give you a complete form of protein. (Each of these snacks include both grains and legumes.)

² If snack numbers, 2 & 4 or 6 & 4, are eaten at approximately the same time, you will get a complete form of protein. (Peanut butter chips/peanuts/carob candies are legumes and crackers are grains.)
