If you do a Google search for "water powered automatic flush" (including the quotes), you won’t get any hits. That's a pretty good indication that no one else has thought of this idea.
Unlike my other inventions, I have not actually built a prototype for this one. It is just an idea. The idea is for an automatic flush valve / automatic faucet (heat / motion detector type) that creates it’s own electrical power by having the flowing water turn a tiny generator, which could then be used to charge it’s battery. Thus the valve would be perfect for retrofitting because no electrical wiring would have to be done, and the batteries would not have to be periodically replaced.
Now it’s just a matter of someone hiring some engineers in China to produce a working prototype. Does anyone have some extra cash to invest?
