Any of the following true of you?

1. No time to cook.

2. No time to wash dishes.

3. No time to eat in restaurants.

4. No time for grocery shopping.

5. No time to eat more than once or twice a day.

If so, then this recipe may be for you!

Don’t let the simplicity of this recipe fool you. It is incredibly delicious. It consists of only five ingredients, and it is very quick and easy to prepare. It uses two microwavable, disposable paper bowls¹, four rubber bands, and a plastic spoon¹ as the only cooking / eating utensils. It does not require any perishable ingredients such as fresh vegetables or dairy products (Butter will keep for months in the freezer!), so you only need to stock up on groceries once every few weeks!

Using two paper bowls¹ and four rubber bands, you can make a disposable “pressure cooker” for your microwave. The purpose of a pressure cooker is to speed up cooking time, save energy, and so the ingredients don’t dry out.

1. Level fill a 20 oz. microwavable, disposable paper bowl¹ with frozen chopped broccoli.

2. Add ¼ cup of water.

3. Place a second 20 oz. disposable paper bowl upside down on top of the first.

4. Secure the two bowls together using four equally spaced rubber bands.

5. Microwave on high for 6 minutes.

6. While the broccoli is cooking, melt 2 tablespoons (¼ stick) of butter².

7. After removing the assembly from the microwave, remove the rubber bands and save them for next time.

8. Save the top paper bowl for use as the bottom paper bowl next time.

9. Add ½ cup of powdered milk.

10. Add a package of instant grits³.

11. Add ¼ cup of water.

12. Add the melted butter.

13. Add a liberal amount of Swad Samosa Chutney.

14. Mix thoroughly.

15. Microwave for one minute.

16. No need to mix again. (Mix while eating.)

17. Serve while still warm.

¹ At Wal-Mart®, I’ve purchased Dixie® brand 20 oz. microwavable paper bowls in packages of 30 for US$2.97 and Diamond® brand plastic spoons in packages of 48 for US$.96.

² For a good way to melt the butter, see “The World’s Best Popcorn” (http://LLBest.com/WorldsBestPopcorn.htm).

³ I use Great Value brand instant grits, which comes in boxes of 12 “packets,” and is available at Super Wal-Mart®.

Swad® Samosa Chutney is available from East Indian grocery stores - Call 800-800-SWAD to locate a dealer in your area.
