This recipe requires only 3 ingredients. It uses a disposable foam bowl¹, a disposable plastic spoon¹ and a can opener as the only preparation/eating utensils, and doesn’t require refrigeration or cooking.

1. Start with 4 big globs of Smucker’s® Goober® Strawberry² by rubbing it off on the edge of a 20-oz. disposable foam bowl using a disposable plastic spoon¹.

2. Fill the remainder of the bowl with a cold cereal such as puffed rice or toasted oats.

3. Add ½ of a 12 oz. can of evaporated milk³. (Shake well before opening.)

4. No need to mix. Mix while eating.

¹ At Wal-Mart®, I’ve purchased Hefty® brand 20-oz. disposable foam bowls in packages of 30 for US$2.62 and Diamond® brand disposable plastic spoons in packages of 48 for US$1.14.

² Smucker’s Goober Strawberry is a mixture of peanut butter and strawberry jelly. It doesn’t need to be refrigerated even after it’s been opened. If you have a cooler for storing the unused portion of the jam, then ordinary peanut butter and jam could be substituted.

³ Evaporated milk actually makes better tasting cereal than regular milk because it’s thicker. Also, it’s easier to digest because it isn’t cold. Another advantage of evaporated milk is that it doesn’t contain any of the harmful bacteria which are constantly multiplying even when regular milk is refrigerated, and which eventually cause the milk to go bad.
