This recipe assumes that you have access to a microwave oven on the road. The thing that makes popcorn really delicious is to have it mixed with real butter. This recipe shows how this may be accomplished even while traveling.

1. Pop the cheapest “natural” microwave popcorn (containing only popcorn, oil & salt) that you can find (I’ve purchased “Act II® Natural 8 Pack” for US$2.50 at Wal-Mart®).

2. While the popcorn is still hot, add a small amount of soft butter*.

3. Shake the bag in order to distribute the butter as evenly as possible.

4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until about ¼ stick of butter has been added.

5. If you used unsalted butter, you might want to add a little popcorn (extra fine) salt.

* For a good method for dispensing butter while traveling, see “Fresh Butter on the Road” (http://LLBest.com/ButterOnTheRoad.htm).
