Make sure that the wound is clean. If it’s a puncture wound, squeeze the wound until some blood comes out. This will help to get any deep-seated dirt out of the wound. Wash the wound and dry it with a paper towel. If the skin is broken, put tea tree oil on the wound to help prevent infection, otherwise put Bag Balm™ on it to promote healing. (Tea tree oil only needs to be applied once.) If appropriate, cover the wound with a bandage. Continue to put Bag Balm on the wound whenever the bandage is changed, or at least twice a day until the wound is fully healed. Using a bandage only at night when there’s less chance of it’s getting wet may accelerate healing. (Tea tree oil and Bag Balm may be purchased at Walmart™ or http://amazon.com)
